DESCRIPTION:
Galentine's Day (Gals Valentine's) is at least one of two known events that originated from television shows. In this instance, it was suggested in a 2010 episode of the scripted comedy series, "Parks and Recreation." Lacking a significant other, a character created Galentine's Day as a day for friends that are girls to celebrate together. The other event in the calendar from a television show is Festivus, from Seinfeld, which occurs on December 23.
